Simposium On Wreck Diving
Framingham, MA - The MetroWest Dive Club (MWDC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fun, safe SCUBA diving, has announced the return of its popular Wrecks Symposium.
Symposium presentations will cover a wide range of wrecks along the East Coast, mostly within the recreational scuba diving depth limits. This year's presentations will comprise:
Bob Foster, "The Path to the Steamship Portland;" Mark Munro, "Three's a Charm, A Casualty of the 1938 Hurricane;" Jodi Burnham, "Cape Cod Shipwrecks;" Evelyn Dudas, "Bianca C;" David Ulloa, "USNS Vandenberg" - David Ulloa will be speaking about the sinking of the USNS Vandenberg to become the world's second largest artificial reef.
Of course, all the wreck diving gear and equipment, photography, exhibitor and artifact displays that Wrecks is famous for, will be available. The MetroWest Dive Club is dedicated to promoting fun, safe SCUBA diving, and introducing and familiarizing members with new dive sites. MWDC is committed to encouraging good relations with its coastal neighbors through courtesy and good scuba diving etiquette and getting involved with community activities. The 16th annual "Wrecks" show will be held at Keefe Technical School, 750 Winter Street, Framingham, MA, on October 24.
