Palmas del Mar is a beach resort located outside of Humacao, Puerto Rico, on the southeast corner of the island.

It is the largest master-planned community in the Caribbean. Set in approximately 2,750 acres (11.1 km2) of land, the resort includes over 25 different neighborhoods (many of which consist of villas); a bank; retail shops; The Palmas Academy, a private school; an equestrian centre; two golf courses; 20 tennis courts; 16 restaurants; a casino; a country club with spa; a beach club; a full service marina; and security and strict-access control 24 hours a day.

The school inside the resort called Palmas Academy, is one of the most competitive private schools in the island. It was founded in 1992 by a group of parents and educators. The Academy is a coeducational, nonsectarian institution with English as the language of instruction and an excellent Spanish curriculum. The campus has 18 acres (73,000 m2) of land surrounded by beautiful nature settings. The Academy has access to many of the facilities at Palmas del Mar community. The school is also included in sports such as soccer, volleyball, golf, cross country, basketball, tennis, track and field, and swimming.

Scuba Certification Program in Montezuma

Another scuba vacationers targeted scuba diving and scuba certification program in Costa Rica is being offered by Escuela Del Sol. The program is unique and it provides CMAS 1 Star Diving Certification for the participants. A minimum two weeks course ending with scuba certification can be matched with learning Spanish, surfing or yoga classes at LEDS. Only 8 enrollees are accepted for each session.
